Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri got her short sharp bob style like Maura Higgins

Tasha Ghouri, a finalist on Love Island in 2022, updates her image with a short, waved bob that recalls Maura Higgins‘s recent signature look.

Tasha Ghouri decided to join the trend this week, and she is certainly setting a high standard for short hair given her 1.5 million Instagram followers and her fashion-focused feed.

Tasha, a devotee of waist-length, free-flowing hair, has recently chopped off a few inches from the ends of her hair to achieve her new look. The former Islander posted a series of pictures of his new, above-the-chin bob haircut to Instagram with the caption: “A short hair metallic moment”.

Tasha isn’t the first star this month to get this kind of haircut. Maura Higgins tried for Bob of the Year last week with a modern take on a ‘Pulp Fiction’ style.

On the red carpet at the recent premiere of Creed 3, Maura debuted the new look, and she captioned an Instagram grid post of her ensemble from the night: “Me & my new best friend….Bob”.

Lots of things about Tasha’s hair and Maura’s hair are the same. First, they both have a “cool girl” texture with waves. Both cuts are also very sharp and have been cut to fall just above the chin in a “French girl” style.

Maura’s bob has a fringe, but Tasha can still change her look even more.

Famous people have tried short hair before Maura and Tasha. We can’t help but wonder if singer Lily Allen started the bob trend with her own short, stylish cut. Experts are calling her hairstyle a “Amelie bob,” and it seems to be this winter’s “it” style.

“Winter sees the bob take on a Parisian feel with a statement fringe and wavy, undone texture,” explains Jordanna Cobella, Wella Professionals digital craft expert and Cobella salon owner. “This cut perfectly frames the neck and jawline, and it really helps to create structure and definition, flattering most face shapes. It’s also such a transitional look for those growing out a pixie or a short cut.”
