Lily Aldridge Interested in Launching Her Own Fashion Line

American Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge has revealed that she’s interested in one day launching her own fashion line. The model, who has one daughter named Dixie with ‘Kings of Leon’ singer Caleb Followill, says she would also like to try her hand at some other projects. She likes the idea of possibility creating a beauty collection and would eventually like to build a whole company with various branches and products:

”I’d love to launch my own label. A beauty line would be super fun, but I know that building my own company would be a lot of work. There’s so much that I want to do, but I want to slowly start building my own thing.”

Lily says the work of other Victoria’s Secret beauties is her inspiration point and she often looks to the likes of Gisele Bundchen who has not only created her own brand, but also worked to help others over the years:

”I’m so inspired by the different careers of so many of the Victoria’s Secret girls. Being there does so much for you, and it does make you want to follow their lead. Gisele, for example, is such an incredible humanitarian and environmentalist, and Heidi Klum has created some amazing brands.”

While she may not be designing her own collection as of yet, Lily is gaining experience by collaborating with ‘Velvet by Graham and Spencer’ and is currently working on her second offering for the company. She says she enjoys the process because she feels as though she really wants to wear the designs herself:

”Velvet is totally my vibe. It’s effortless, timeless and cool. They make the kind of clothes that I want to wear. I’ve picked pieces that I love from my wardrobe that I want to remake.”
