Kendall and Kylie Jenner have just designed their first collection for Topshop, and now the two sisters have opened up on where they sourced their inspiration for the youthful pieces. Kendall commented that they looked no further than home when designing, because they wanted to bring some L.A. inspired style to the brand which has stores all around the world. She explained:

“We’re trying to bring the LA vibe to Topshops all over the world. We were thinking about the LA girl, who she is, what she loves to do and what her dream capsule wardrobe would be. There are lots of lighter shades and florals that give that sunshine feel.”

Kendall thinks Topshop is by far the coolest high street brand and she remembers when it first opened near her, everyone went crazy for the new store. She always loves how their pieces look and thinks they’re always so fashion-forward:

“I just love Topshop. When Topshop opened in our local shopping centre, the Grove, it was total madness. Everyone was dying to go to Topshop and you’d ask anyone wearing anything cool, ‘Where did you get that?!’ And it was always ‘Topshop!’ It was a total fashion frenzy. So to be involved with the brand is an absolute honour. It’s very cool.”

Explaining their personal styles, Kylie added that both girls dress quite differently but they often appreciate many of the same things:

”Kendall has more of that off-duty model style. She’s simple and casual. I’m more of the type that would wear a dress and heels to breakfast. I’m a bit edgier and like darker colours. Generally though, we like a lot of the same things.”

Speaking on the pieces their older sisters would wear, Kylie says each of them would pick a different piece that would fit into their usual wardrobes:

“Our family love supporting us and wearing all our stuff. Khloe would love the jean shorts. Kim is simple. She would keep it pared back with our wide black pants. Kourtney would definitely wear our short little black romper.”
