Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she is no longer afraid to go makeup-free and has cut down on the amount she wears. The actress says she realised she didn’t need to wear as much makeup after having to wear none for her ‘Cake’ film role, and she learnt a lot from taking that break from applying it daily:

“I’m less attached to [makeup] now, and Justin [Theroux] loves me without. When I was filming Cake, I didn’t wear any makeup. I was taken aback by how nervous I got about walking outside and knowing that there was probably going to be a whole group of photographers. But then I just let go and I didn’t care. And over the next five weeks of shooting that, I really loved it. I wasn’t attached [to makeup]. If anything, putting on makeup felt so weird.”

Although she may have been a tanning addict in the past, Jennifer says she has stopped going out in the sun as much and regrets treating her skin badly when she was younger:

“I gave myself a sun-tanning intervention a few years ago, where I was basically saying, ‘Let’s just quit while we’re ahead,’ I was not great as a kid with sunscreen. That’s one of my big regrets.”

Revealing how she looks after her skin while on the move, Jennifer has detailed her in-flight travel beauty routine. She usually removes her makeup with wipes, moisturises and even does a face mask. She also swears by eye drops and a lip balm to help her feel fresh and hydrated during the flight:

“I do take my makeup off. There are great makeup removers from Aveeno, so you just wipe it off. And a little spray bottle of Evian, and wipe your face down with a toner, and put on your moisturizer, and do a mask, especially on a European flight. I’m a lip balm and eye drops addict. I have terrible allergies. I use Alcon Naphcon A. I really enjoy the sensation of eyes burning. Dr. Hauschka great lip balm and By Terry Rose Balm in the pot; it’s really gooey for bee stung lips.”
