The Rockets

Before this game, the Rockets lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 113-99. They had trouble on both ends of the court. If they want to win on the road, they will have to be more efficient.

  • Jalen Green – Ready

During Wednesday’s 113-99 loss to the Grizzlies, Jalen Green had 20 points (7-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists, and one block in 29 minutes of play.

Green came back Tuesday after missing two games, but he only played for 19 minutes. On Wednesday, he played for about 30 minutes.

Since coming back from the groin injury, the dynamic guard has averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 50 percent shooting from long range.

PLAYER UPDATED INJURY STATUS
Jae’Sean Tate Fri, Mar 3 Ankle Expected to be out until at least Mar 5
TyTy Washington Jr. Wed, Mar 1 Head Game Time Decision

Tate probably won’t play on Saturday because it’s the first game of a back-to-back. In his absence, Josh Christopher and Kevin Porter could get more playing time. Tate should be able to play in the rematch with San Antonio on Sunday.

Washington left Wednesday’s game against Memphis because he had a migraine, but he is now questionable because he is sick. If the rookie guard is ruled out, Daishen Nix and Josh Christopher will likely play more.

The Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs won 110-99 against the Indiana Pacers in their last game. They did a great job on offense, and they’ll need to keep it up if they want to win their third game in a row.

  • Keldon Johnson – Doubt vs. Rockets

Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com says that Keldon Johnson’s foot injury makes it unlikely that he will play against Houston on Saturday.

Johnson didn’t play Thursday against Indiana because he hurt his left foot, and it’s likely that he won’t be able to play for a second straight game. If he can’t play, Keita Bates-Diop, Malaki Branham (back), and Dominick Barlow could get more playing time on the wing.
