Alvin Kamara has had a slow start in 2022, averaging just 6.2 points per game in Half-PPR formats.  Although fantasy owners are undoubtedly displeased with his lack of production thus far, some of it could be attributed to an irritating rib injury that he appears to have been trying to deal with all seasons.

Prior to Week 4, Kamara had been a limited member in practice. Kamara did miss Week 2 due to a rib injury, but he still managed 73 total yards in Week 3.

Despite his struggles thus far, Kamara could have a better week this week due to injuries to QB Jameis Winston and WR Michael Thomas. If he does not suit up in London, fantasy owners should hope more touches from Mark Ingram and Dwayne Washington in Week 4.

What are experts saying?

Derek Lofland

Kamara has only scored 12 fantasy points in two games this season. He’s an RB2 against a Vikings defense that ranks 29th against fantasy running backs this season, but he needs to take benefit of matchups like this to stay fantasy relevant.

Derek Brown

Kamara returned from a week off with 17 touches and 73 total yards while playing a season-high 70% of the snaps.

This week, he is in a great location. He carried the ball for 68.2% of the team and had a 17.9% target share (61.9% route per drop back rate).

Minnesota has been a Swiss cheese against the run, with the fifth-highest success rate and the ninth-highest EPA permitted.

They are also fourth in explosive run rate and seventh in running back receptions allowed.

Because of the injuries to Michael Thomas and Jameis Winston, Kamara is a strong RB1 in Week 4 with extra receiving advantage.
