Before their Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions, the Chicago Bears released their final injury report. A few key changes from Thursday’s report could have a significant impact on their chances of winning their fourth divisional game of the season.

The Bears made strides to get back on the field, particularly at wide receiver, with Chase Claypool, Dante Pettis, and Equanimeous St. Brown all improving their status over the course of the week. Claypool and Pettis were both limited on Friday, but St. Brown was listed as a full participant and will play against Detroit.

Along with Claypool and Pettis, tight end Trevon Wesco was the Bears’ final questionable player after being limited all week with a calf injury.

Linebacker Sterling Weatherford and offensive lineman Ja’Tyre Carter were among those ruled out for the game against the Lions. Weatherford was a limited participant after not practicing on Thursday, but his illness did not improve enough for the Bears to consider playing him on Sunday. Carter injured his back earlier this week and did not practice on Thursday or Friday.

Andrew Brown and Justin Jones on defense, and Teven Jenkins and Cody Whitehair on offense, are expected to play against Detroit. Linemen on both sides of the ball were all listed as full participants and will not be labeled as injured.

Jamaal Williams (leg) isn’t listed on the Week 17 injury report ahead of a matchup with the Bears.

Williams sat out the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 37-23 loss to the Panthers after suffering an apparent leg injury in the third quarter. It turns out it wasn’t even serious enough to get him on the injury report four days later, suggesting he might’ve even returned Saturday if the Lions hadn’t been down by three or more scores for most of the second half.
