Injury Reports 49ers: Head coach is worried about Aaron Banks’ sprain injury

The San Francisco 49ers lost left guard Aaron Banks early in their win over the Raiders on Sunday.

In his post-game press conference, 49ers’ HC Shanahan told reporters that the team fears Banks has an MCL sprain after he walked off under his own power and never returned after being listed as questionable. On Monday, he will undergo additional testing, including an MRI.

In Aaron Banks’ absence, Daniel Brunskill stepped in at left guard.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw will also have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the back injury he suffered against the Raiders in the second half. He jogged off under his own power after getting awkwardly bent back while making a tackle. The 49ers declared him questionable to return, and he never returned to the game.
