How Bulls’ Ayo Dosunmu fared in Jordan Rising Stars

Dosunmu replaced Jalen Green in the Jordan Rising Stars starting lineup less than 24 hours before tipoff due to an injury.

Ayo Dosunmu made the most of his invitation to All-Star Weekend

Although Team Deron Williams ultimately lost 40-25 to Team Pau Gasol in the semi-finals, the second-year Bulls guard still managed to contribute four points, two assists, and a rebound in just under seven minutes of action.

Dosunmu and Team Deron Williams provided fans with numerous memorable moments, despite their loss.

The Bulls have two players, including Dosunmu, in Salt Lake City, Utah for the weekend.

When Dosunmu played at the Vivint Arena, his teammate DeMar DeRozan, a reserve for the All-Star Game, was there to cheer him on. DeRozan has missed the last two games for the Bulls with a hip injury, and it is unclear if he will be able to play in Sunday’s exhibition.

Since the NBA changed the format of the Rising Stars Challenge in 2022, Dosunmu has taken part in both of them. The new format has four ex-players serving as coaches, each responsible for guiding their respective squads through a best-of-three series.

Instead of using a traditional game clock, the semi-finals and finals will be played to a predetermined target point benchmark of 40 and 25 points, respectively.

Dosunmu’s previous All-Star Weekend appearance also ended in the semi finals.
