Gwen Stefani Explains Her L.A.M.B. Hiatus, Comments on New Collection

Gwen Stefani has explained why she had to take a hiatus from designing her L.A.M.B. fashion line. Gwen recently released a new Spring/Summer 2015 collection after the break and says she was forced to take a step back because of her home life. The singer welcomed another son named Apollo, and says she simply had to put her family before everything else for a while. She adds that she usually likes to mix different tasks but her children were the priority:

“It was really hard for me to do much else, so I kind of had to walk away. It’s really hard, but I’ve always liked to clash things. You get to be in one world, and the next minute you’re in another world.”

The extensive new collection is tribal inspired and uses bold colours. Gwen explains that she believes the designs reflect her current life:

“It reflects where I am right now. Everything kind of aligned.”

As well as designing her collection and taking care of her home life, Gwen is also set to appear on the new season of ‘The Voice’. She says she is very happy to have so much going on:

“It’s an amazing time in my life, I get to be doing it all.”

Gwen has also been working on expanding her fragrance line:

“I’m doing new Harajuku Lovers fragrances that I’ve been working on for forever. They also reflect where I am right now, which is totally surreal because I worked on them so long ago and it all coincides in a weird unplanned way. I love when that happens.”
