About Final Fantasy VII

Released in 1997, Final Fantasy VII is a JRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game) for the Playstation that propelled the series into mainstream popularity. The game centers around Cloud, a former elite soldier who joins the eco-terrorist group Avalanche to fight the Shinra Electric Company, a corrupt megacorporation draining the planet’s life force. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3: Potential Release Window Revealed

During the recent launch of the FF7 Rebirth Ultimania guidebook, Yoshinori Kitase, a key figure at Square Enix, offered insights into the trilogy’s development. He revealed that Rebirth’s development took “within 3 years,” following a year spent on the FF7 Remake DLC.

Kitase’s desire to maintain this development timeframe hints at a release date for Part 3. Considering the gap between the original Remake (2020) and Rebirth (early 2024), estimations place Part 3’s arrival in early 2027 at the earliest. This timeframe could extend to 2028 if Rebirth receives similar DLC treatment.

Kitase also credited the development team’s consistency for Rebirth’s efficiency, assuring fans that “Part 3 will also have the same team.” This continuity should ensure smooth progress on the final installment.

Enthusiasts will be happy to learn that Tetsuya Nomura, director of Remake and creative director of Rebirth, confirmed the main story for Part 3 is complete. Voice recording is also expected to begin soon.

While this information offers a promising glimpse into Part 3’s release window, it’s important to consider it speculative for now. We’ll continue to monitor developments and update you as more details emerge.
