Dead Island 2 devs were ‘re-energized’ by the Goat Simulator 3 parody trailer

Apparently, the Dead Island 2 crew was “reenergized” by the trailer for Goat Simulator 3. At the start of the trailer, it was unclear what the game was about, as it featured a man running down Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California while listening to the music.

The Goat Simulator 3 trailer mimics the beginning of the Dead Island 2 2014 E3 trailer and then continues with the same theme of a character running as chaos ensues behind him.

The trailer definitely shows an evolved version of the game that was announced in 2014, with gameplay that highlights the gorgeous graphics and bloody gameplay.

Gameplay

Dead Island 2 takes place in an open-world Los Angeles, San Francisco, dubbed HELL-A and an undisclosed third location in California, unlike the first game which was set on the fictitious island of Banoi off the coast of Papua New Guinea. The game’s combat has different mechanics than its predecessors. Dead Island 2 also includes several features from its predecessors, such as the “rage” and crafting systems.
