Television great Carol Vorderman has addressed rumors that she is having an affair with pop sensation singer Gareth Gates.
When Carol was at the Cheltenham Festival, she was spotted chatting with the Pop Idol singer and having a good time with him.
Georgia “Toff” Toffolo, star of Made in Chelsea, was also there with former politician Matt Hancock and his former staffer turned partner, Gina Coladangelo.
After hearing conflicting accounts of her meetings with the Pop Idol artist and ex-politician, Carol resorted to Twitter to set the record straight.
Carol responded to allegations that she had been “cosying up” to Gareth after the 62-year-old revealed her brief talk with the former Health Secretary, of whom she had been publicly critical.
“Talk about a bloody set up! Honestly, I mean, what are you meant to do?” she said. “I was brought up to be polite just as I am to 500, 600 people who ask for selfies at Cheltenham.
“That’s how I was brought up,” Carol said matter-of-factly. “Make of that what you will, that’s the truth.”
“Apparently I’m now having an affair with Gareth Gates!” She exclaimed, laughing wildly. “Really?”
For her 727k Twitter followers, she typed down the caption: “Loud laughter at the cleverness of the set-up and at Hancock’s claims.
“Also apparently according to other papers Gareth Gates and I are cosying up together. Jesus, I’ve been busy! Funny.”
“Cheltenham Tuesday with my long time friends. I’m on tea and water all day… chauffeur,” she typed as she sent out the steamy images.
Yet, Carol still managed to turn heads when she entered the festival in her recycled leather skirt, leather bustier, white shirt, feathered hat, fur stole, and fancy sunglasses from the previous year.
