Best Mobile Games to Expect in 2022 and Beyond

Mobile gaming has become increasingly popular over the past ten years, growing at an exponential rate. As such, many console game companies are creating mobile versions to grab a slice of this profitable pie. In simplest terms, it’s a great time to be alive as a gamer.

Here are some of the best mobile games to expect in late 2022 and beyond.

Battlefield Mobile

Battlefield Mobile is one of the most anticipated FPS games of 2022 and 2023. While EA was scheduled to release this game in 2022, it’s been delayed to early next year while they work out some kinks. Fortunately, Battlefield fans can sign up for beta testing now, and it will operate solely on Android.

Long-time Battlefield fans are brushing up on their skills and researching additional resources in anticipation of the mobile version. While there won’t be cross-play with other consoles, it’s worth getting ahead of the game.

Valorant Mobile

Valorant fans are finally seeing their dreams realized with the rumor confirmation of Valorant Mobile. Riot allegedly released an initial beta version in China, with a full beta release scheduled for July 2022. While the dates have come and gone with no updates, it’s expected the world will see a proper beta launch by early 2023.

This 5v5 tactical shooter game quickly rocketed to success upon its console release in 2020, and the mobile version is expected to follow suit.

Plants vs. Zombies 3

Plants vs. Zombies is incredible in its simplicity. One of the most beloved games of the past decade, PvZ3 has been long-anticipated for release. It’s gone through several soft launches and targeted beta releases since 2021, with the most recent pull-out taking place in April 2022.

It’s not known when Plants vs. Zombies 3 will be widely available, players are ready and waiting for the app’s loading error message to go away. Only time will tell if the next launch will stick.

AVATAR: Reckoning

AVATAR: Reckoning is an upcoming MMO RPG shooter for mobile, scheduled to be released in tandem with the long-anticipated movie sequel, AVATAR: The Way of Water. The game was built in Unreal Engine 4, promising incredible visuals.

The game was originally set to be released in late 2022 with the movie but has since been pushed to 2023. Closed beta testing started in January 2022 in Canada and lasted ten days with positive results. Not much is known about the gameplay beyond the basic setup, Avatar creation, and a high-level overview of the plot. Regardless, the anticipation is real.

Propnight Mobile

Propnight is a 4vs1 multiplayer prop hunt horror game crafted for PC. The premise is a small town in which teenagers are going missing. Players have to play as props to survive the killer’s hunt. Alternatively, you can play the killer and do your best to find the four hiders. While the idea of turning into a fire hydrant or box may seem silly, the game is truly creepy and has amassed a cult following.

Propnight Mobile will take this game on the road. The console release took place in October 2021, with the mobile release expected in 2022 or 2023.

Attack on Titan: Brave Order

Attack on Titan is a world-renowned manga series that’s expanded into the gaming world. Attack on Titan: Brave Order was released in Japan in February 2022, with no global release date known at this time. Fans in the Western hemisphere are eagerly anticipating its arrival.

The premise of the game follows that of the show: humanity lives in enclosed cities for protection from the Titans, massive monsters who dwell outside the city walls. Players will fight the Titans with characters Alan and Mikasa as a part of the investigation team.

2022 and 2023 are going to be amazing years for the world of mobile gaming. Stay tuned for updates on release dates for these highly anticipated mobile games.
