Amouranth, a Twitch star, is giving the Mr & Ms Universe beauty pageant a new spin by announcing her own Mr & Ms Metaverse event.

Thanks to Twitch and OnlyFans, Amouranth is one of the most watched female streamers on any platform, and she knows how to capitalize on that. This December, Amouranth will co-organize the Mr and Ms Metaverse pageant with YouTuber and gaming personality Alpharad, though this event will not be as physically challenging.

Through a series of social media posts, Amouranth and Alpharad both confirmed that the pageant will begin on Sunday, December 4 in Los Angeles.

The hot tub queen also hinted that the show will feature some of the ‘biggest’ YouTube and Twitch creators ‘competing for the crown,’ and that fans will be able to attend. Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 30 if you want to visit Los Angeles and perhaps meet Amouranth. There may not be as much availability because the Mr. and Ms. Metaverse pageant’s venue only holds 2,400 people.

When the pageant news spread on Twitter, fans quickly teased Amouranth and Alpharad about the title, speculating that it was related to Facebook or the crypto world.

Alpharad made several attempts to explain, but eventually gave up and jokingly said that they are accepting new name suggestions, such as Mr. and Mrs. Niche Internet Microcelebrity, Mr. and Mrs. Worldwide(web), and even The Parasocial Pageant. Regarding Amouranth, she claimed that she merely uses the term “sardonically,” and that the pageant has nothing to do with the Metaverse.

In the same post, she clarified that there is “no tie in or angle” involving crypto, Facebook’s Meta, or NFTs. She even likened the situation to the Rorschach test, in which someone shows you an abstract drawing and asks you to describe what you see – though with Amouranth’s pageant, the misunderstanding is much more understandable.
