5 Stars Speak on Not Rushing Into Marriage

Marriage shouldn’t be rushed into (we’re looking at you, Kim Kardashian!) and these 5 celebrities have opened up on taking their time before heading down the aisle. Wanting the timing to be right and sure they are with the right person, these 5 stars say they’re not going to force the process, and are looking forward to getting married when it makes sense to do so. Here is what they’ve said about taking their time.

Adam Levine

Before marrying current wife Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine commented that he wasn’t rushing the process and wanted to take his time: “I don’t feel pressure to get married. I think that when it’s time, it’s going to be obvious and I’m going to do it and I’m going to really enjoy it.”

Cameron Diaz

Cameron recently wed Benji Madden aged 42 and she says it was worth waiting for: “I waited because I didn’t want to settle. Now I got the best man ever. My special man. He’s mine.”

Kelly Brook

Kelly doesn’t feel the need to wed because she already gets to experience some of the joy: “I’m not in a rush to get married or have kids because I see so much of my nieces and nephews. I’m getting all the baby joy, just without the sleepless nights!”

Mindy Kaling

Mindy says she is in no rush now, but used to be in the past: “When I was younger, I wanted so badly to be married and have kids in a rush. I loved my parents’ relationship. The way my father was with my mother when she was dying was so moving. It was such devotion. I don’t know that that will happen for me, but I like it.”

Pixie Lott

Pixie is engaged to boyfriend Oliver Cheshire but she says she doesn’t feel the need to rush down the aisle because they’re already happy:  “There’s no rush. We’re happy and we both still feel really young. There’s so much we want to do beforehand. It’s good as it is really.”
