5 Stars Who Are Concerned About Global Warming

Global warming is an important issue which affects everyone, and these 5 stars have all done their part to try and combat the huge problem. Some have donated money or have appeared in ads to highlight the cause, while others have seen first hand what ill effects global warming can have. Each of these stars has encouraged the world to do what they can to try and cut their Carbon emissions in the hopes of slow down the problem.

Helena Christensen

Helena traveled to Nepal and learned first hand how Global Warming was harming homes and crops: “I… met several women who told me their personal stories, shared with me the fear they have over the way they live their lives now constantly waiting for flooding and not knowing how to react when it happens.”

Sienna Miller

Sienna has also encouraged everyone to try and cut their Carbon emissions: “If each one of us does our bit, we will be helping to keep global warming from harming our countries.Carbon emissions will be huge from countries like India and China with growing populations and economy. “It will be wise to start doing whatever we can to protect our planet.”

Richard Branson

Branson has donated billions of dollars to fighting global warming and finding alternative fuels, and has done so to preserve the beauty of the world for future generations:  “Our generation has inherited an incredibly beautiful world from our parents, and they from their parents. “We must not be the generation responsible for irreversibly damaging the environment.”

Leonardo Dicaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio has always worked to highlight the cause, and believes it is one of the biggest things facing the human race: “Global warming is not only the number one environmental issue that we’re facing today, but one of the most important issues facing all of humanity. We’re in a situation right now where we’re basically emitting too much of this carbon pollution from our cars and our electric power plants that burn coal into the atmosphere, and it’s causing our planet to heat up.”

John Travolta

Although John admits he often uses fuel to fly his jets, he agrees global warming is a big issue: “(Global warming) is a very valid issue. I’m wondering if we need to think of other planets and dome cities. Everyone can do their bit. But I don’t know if it’s not too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuels. I’m probably not the best candidate to ask about global warming because I fly jets. I use them as a business tool though, as others do. I think it’s part of this industry – otherwise I couldn’t be here doing this and I wouldn’t be here now.”
