5 Celebrities Who’ve Spoken on Being Celibate

Deciding not to have sex, these 5 celebrities have all spoken on being celibate. Some went for years without having sex while others try to be celibate when they aren’t in a relationship because they aren’t interested in sleeping around. Others were celibate for much of their lives and waited until they got married to lose their virginity. Here are their own personal stories on staying celibate.

Brandy doesn’t sleep around if she isn’t in a relationship: “I haven’t been with a man seriously and in love in six years. And, honestly, I tend to abstain if I’m not in a relationship. It’s been a long time (since I last had sex). We’re talking years.”

Elle MacPherson

Elle was once celibate for about two years: “It’s crazy – but apart from a brief romantic intermission last summer, I have been single and celibate for two years. How boring is that?”

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is celibate and tells fans they don’t need to have sex: “I remember the cool girls when I was growing up. Everyone started to have sex. But it’s not really cool any more to have sex all the time. It’s cooler to be strong and independent. I can’t believe I’m saying this – don’t have sex. I’m single right now and I’ve chosen to be single because I don’t have the time to get to know anybody. So it’s OK not to have sex, it’s OK to get to know people. I’m celibate, celibacy’s fine.”

Tamera Mowry

Tamera waited until she was married to lose her virginity: “I don’t know how to explain this. I’m religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity. You may not understand this (but) I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married.”

Tim Gunn
Kevin Mazur

Tim previously admitted that he hasn’t had sex in a long time: “I haven’t had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely.”
