5 Celebrities Who’ve Hunted Animals

Hunting remains highly controversial, so it’s surprising that these 5 celebrities have even admitted that they enjoy hunting animals or have done it in the past. Some say they are highly skilled and know exactly what they’re doing, while others say it’s about the experience of hunting itself. Trying to justify killing animals, here is what these 5 stars have said on the subject.

Blake Shelton

Blake regularly goes hunting and has even taught his wife Miranda Lambert to join in. He commented: “I’ll tell you, we went huntin’ a few nights ago and she actually caught a wild hog with a bow and arrow. Miranda is the real deal. She doesn’t just sing about guns and things like that. She does it. She’s a big bow hunter. People don’t know that about her.”

Chris Pratt

Chris spoke about respecting the animals he hunts: “I have a great deal of respect for the animals that I kill, and I feel remorse and all of the emotions that come with it. The thing inside me that drives me to go out and hunt is very animal. But the remorse, emotion and respect I feel, and the closeness to God that I feel when I’m out there, is my humanity. It’s an opportunity for me to explore what parts of me are animal and what parts of me are human.”

Eliza Dushku

Eliza only hunts for meat she’ll eat: “I’ve only ever hunted to eat what I kill. I think that’s the right way to do things, I’m a liberal from New England. I grew up an animal lover. But I like the mechanics of some weapons and guns.”

Eva Longoria

Eva says she is an experienced hunter: “I can skin a deer and a pig and a snake- and rabbits. I used to go target shooting all the time growing up, so I’m great with a gun; we’d shoot Coke cans and anything that exploded. I grew up hunting deer and turkey. I can skin a pig and pluck a quail; you name it, I’ve done it.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie grew up shooting birds and rabbits on her farm in Devon: “I’ve shot a few pheasants and a few rabbits, I know where my food comes from. I’m a farm girl; there’s the pigs, that’s the dog that I play with and love, but it’s the pig that’s gonna be in the freezer next month.”
