5 Celebrities Who’ve Had Sad Miscarriage Experiences

Having a miscarriage must be an incredibly difficult thing to go through even if it is something that is actually frighteningly common, especially for those in the spotlight who must decide to keep the news quiet or go public with their heartbreak. These 5 celebrities all spoke on their pregnancies which ended abruptly and left them heart broken.  Some feel as though it was “meant to be” now because of how their life turned out following the miscarriage, while others blame themselves or believe they learned a hard lesson from the sad, devastating experience. No one has the same reaction to the loss and they’ve all got their own story to tell regarding their sad miscarriage story – take a look at what these 5 stars have said about theirs below.

Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny blamed herself when she miscarried even though she knew it was a high risk pregnancy because of her age: “Because my first pregnancy had been complicated, and because I was over 40, the doctor told me that I was “high risk” and needed to take it easy. So I took it so easy. I had to. Because we hadn’t planned this, I felt unprepared, like we had so much to do to get ready for this baby. Still, I was excited, if cautiously so, with the words high risk ringing in my ears.” When she later had the miscarriage, the doctor told her: “You’re 41. You had bleeding. There’s nothing you could have done. I blamed myself – of course I did.”

Beyonce

Before she welcomed daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce suffered heartbreak: “I picked out names.I envisioned what my child would look like . . . I was feeling very maternal, I flew back to New York to get my check up – and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat. I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life. And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through.”

Courteney Cox

Courteney had two upsetting miscarriages in a row while her father was sick and died: “When my dad was dying and I was pregnant, I thought that this was a new soul coming into me. And then when that didn’t work out, my dad died and I got pregnant again, I thought the same thing. And then… I don’t know. It just wasn’t meant to be.”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth recently revealed that after she gave birth to daughter Apple and son Moses, she fell pregnant with a third child but untimately ended up miscarrying and her life was even in danger: ”My children ask me to have a baby all the time. And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it. I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third. It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, ‘Are we good here or should we go back and try again?”’

Kelly Brook

Kelly was young when she miscarried and she was left devastated but learned a lot from the experience: “My miscarriage was a hard lesson. Before I fell pregnant, I’d been living the life of a 22 year old – going to clubs, working hard and flying to a different country every two weeks. When I first fell pregnant, I still thought I could run around and do whatever I wanted, but my body let me know that wasn’t the case. When I miscarried, I was devastated. It was the hardest lesson but, ultimately, a good one. I’d been running on adrenaline believing I was invincible – like so many of us do.”
