5 Celebrities Who Aren’t Ready to Have Children

These 5 stars aren’t ready to have children just yet. Some are putting their plans for a family on hold so they can expand their career now that they’re successful, while others might not have found the right partner or simply don’t feel that it’s right for them yet. From lacking that maternal urge to have children, to prioritizing other aspects of their lives, these 5 celebrities aren’t rushing into anything and are happy with how things are in their life for now, although many do see themselves having a family in the future and some are just seeing what life brings and allowing it to happen naturally.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki knows musicians can have kids and a family successfully after observing Madonna, but she doesn’t want to have her own too soon:”[Madonna made me realise that] having kids can be done because I saw her kids coming to rehearsals and that really moved me. But no kids any time soon. No, no, no.”

Adam Levine

Adam wants a family but thinks he needs a few more years and believes having kids is just something that will eventually happen:”I think I’ve got a few years before a family happens, if I’m honest. It’s going to happen, inevitably. I love kids and I want a family but I wouldn’t be able to be a very good father right now so I’m going to wait until I can be.”

Cameron Diaz

Cameron is open to the idea of children but right now it’s not a road she’s about to go down: “What about it? If I say, ‘This is how I’m going to live my life,’ I am closing myself off to all these other possibilities. I’m the kind of girl who likes to be open to every possibility, who is open to all my options. My role in a lot of relationships that I have with family and friends is as the nurturer, definitely.”

Eva Mendes

Eva wants children but doesn’t feel her biological clock ticking and isn’t rushing into anything: “In a weird way I fluctuate between not giving it any thought and wanting to leave it up to whoever’s running the show, then giving it a lot of thought. I have to be honest, I don’t feel the urge yet. Maybe I’ll do it when I’m 41 or something, that’s happened to a lot of people I know who decided not to. I don’t feel the ticking clock. I feel I have time. Whether that’s a reality for me or not, I don’t know. I’ll just be patient. I’m not saying no, but I don’t know, I really don’t.”

Naomi Campbell

Naomi believes if she is meant to have children it will come to her naturally and lives life without making big plans: “Whenever God decides it’s right for me. I don’t put pressure on myself. I let things happen how they should naturally. That’s how I am today. I’m a recovering alcoholic and addict and I don’t drink and I don’t do drugs. I live my life one day at a time.”
