There is constant pressure for stars to look perfect even just weeks after giving birth and some of these celeb moms were forced to go to extremes to win their post-baby body back, while others took a sensible approach to the weight loss and set smaller goals for themselves to work on. Jaime’s diet included cabbage soup which she swore by to help cut fat: “I got back into the gym and worked out two hours a day, five days a week, and I did the Cabbage Soup diet. It helps cut the fat and it’s also something that doctors give patients who are waiting to go into surgery – to detox their body. So it’s a really great, healthy diet.”
Jessica claims to have worn two corsets for three whole months which she says helped the process: “I wore a double corset day and night for three months, it was sweaty, but worth it.” Calling her weight loss method “brutal,” Alba adds that “it’s not for everyone.”
Shakira worked off her weight by doing Zumba regularly: ”I do Zumba. Zumba has been actually really great for me. Even during pregnancy, I kept doing it until almost the end. Now with ‘The Voice’, I don’t have time to exercise. And when I have a day off, I just want to be with Milan.”
Snooki lost weight naturally by breastfeeding and then hit the gym with a trainer: “The first 20 [pounds] came [off] from just breastfeeding, so that was awesome, But then I had to wait until I could work out, which was six weeks, and then I just went straight to the gym. I work with a trainer, one of my good friends Anthony, so he basically just kicked my butt into shape and he gave me these express meals which [don’t] have a lot of calories.”
Victoria set herself a goal and worked on the weight by working out while eating healthy: “Oh, listen, I worked at it. I was breast-feeding, so I ate super healthy, and I worked out seven days a week. I wanted to burn all my leggings – I was adamant that by the time I went to fashion week I would be able to wear clothes.”
