Simon Cowell Won’t Witness His Son Being Born

Simon Cowell has admitted that he doesn’t plan to be in the room when Lauren Silverman finally completes her job as walking womb. The reality judge says “there are certain things you shouldn’t see” when it comes to the birthing experience and says that while he won’t witness the actual birthing process, he will be nearby:

“Are you out of your mind? I know this sounds awful, but it’s like you don’t want to go in to the restaurant while they’re making your dinner. I think there are certain things you shouldn’t see and that is one of them. I’ll be very close by, but no [I won’t watch.]”

Speaking on becoming a father, Simon reveals that he thought it would never happen for him because he never found the right person. Now that the right person has been accidentally selected for him, he’s pretending that he’s quite pleased about that:

“I genuinely never thought [me being a Dad] was going to happen. Partly because I was scared of who I was going to have kids with . . . [but] Lauren and I get along really well and once I got used to the idea I thought, ‘I think this is going to be very good.’”

Speaking on getting married to Lauren once his offspring greets this world, Simon strongly suggests that it’s on the cards:

“Let’s put it this way, I wouldn’t expect her to be a single mother.”
