Appearing at the Human Rights Campaign’s Time to Thrive event, actress Ellen Page made a heart-felt speech and came out as gay in a bid to promote gay rights. The clearly nervous actress wowed the audience and was given a standing ovation when she opted to reveal her sexuality in order to help others in a similar position. The actress admitted that she was “tired of hiding” and “tired of lying by omission” as she broke the news. Many Hollywood stars took to social media to voice their support for Ellen’s brave speech who were moved by her words and wanted to congratulate her.
