As a mom in the spotlight, it must be hard to balance being a mother and keeping your career momentum going. These 5 celebrity moms have spoken on trying to do it all – making it work for them in the best possible way so that they can be there for their kids and also have the dream career they’ve always wanted. It isn’t always easy and they’re often working tirelessly to achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves.

Alyssa Milano

Alyssa admits it can be a difficult juggling act: “It’s hard to juggle everything. Every day is a process and a balancing act, but I try to take everyday as it comes. My schedule is sporadic, which is good because it allows me some real quality time with my kids. When I have business to attend to, I’m always aware that I need to get home as soon as possible or I feel guilty.”

Drew Barrymore

Drew says she simply never stops trying: “I really had to tell myself, You can do everything, but you will have to do them at different moments. And you can do a lot in the same moment, but you can’t do everything in the same moment. It was a good lesson that you will just have to prioritize and put some things over here for a little while.”

Isla Fisher

Isla has taken time to focus on her family and tries not to feel guilty: “I took three years off. It’s not like you’re taking a break and looking on IMDbPro to see your StarMeter falling. You’re doing the most important, incredible thing. When you come back in, the perspective has changed. I truly believe you can’t have it all and you shouldn’t want to.”

Olivia Wilde

Olivia feels supported so she can do what she needs to do: “I feel very supported and just very lucky to be working on such good things. There are people managing much more complicated lives than me.”

Victoria Beckham

Victoria does feel torn between family and work: “I think you feel so torn, don’t you? But I’ve got great people who handle my schedule and everything does revolve around the children. So, if there’s a parents’ night or an Easter bonnet parade or a nativity play, whatever it might be, then I plan everything around that so I can always be there.”
