  • Updates injury status for Stephen Curry and Draymond Green

The Warriors announced on Wednesday that Stephen Curry would be reevaluated in one week due to a lower leg injury.

It was known that Curry would be out for at least a few games after the break, but the most recent information suggests he will miss the first four.

Since the injury, the star point guard has done some biking and weightlifting, but he hasn’t participated in any on-court action.

Since Curry’s most recent checkup showed positive signs of improvement, he may be cleared to play on either March 2 or 3 against the Clippers or Pelicans, respectively.

At the same time, Green (knee) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against Portland.

Green returned to practice on Monday after a negative MRI, suggesting he will play Tuesday after missing the previous two games with an injury. His anticipated presence is likely to relegate Jonathan Kuminga to the bench.

The Warriors will be without Iguodala on Tuesday against the Trail Blazers due to a hip injury. We don’t know when he’ll suit up again, but Thursday’s game against the Clippers is his next opportunity.

Wiggins will sit out his fifth consecutive game for personal reasons. Until Wiggins returns, Donte DiVincenzo will likely continue to start for the team.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Warriors general manager Bob Myers stated that Payton (abdomen) will be re-evaluated in one month.

Myers made those remarks less than 24 hours after the Warriors and the Trail Blazers, the Pistons, and the Hawks agreed to complete the final steps of the Warriors’ acquisition of Payton.

  • BLAZERS

After losing to the Washington Wizards (126-101) and the Sacramento Kings (131-114), the Portland Trail Blazers (29-31; 31-29 ATS) ended their losing streak last Sunday by beating the lowly Houston Rockets (131-114).

Badji hasn’t made his NBA debut yet because of left knee pain. It’s unclear when he’ll be ready to return to action.

Nurkic’s left calf strain forced him to sit out for a ninth consecutive game. While the team has repeatedly stated that the big man is making progress, he still does not have a definitive return date. Today, in Golden State, he will get his next opportunity to play.
