The latest injury updates 76ers vs. Timberwolves game

For the 76ers, this will be the second half of a back-to-back that ends a five-game road trip. For the Timberwolves, this will be their first home game since a successful four-game road trip ended on Saturday.

The last time these two teams met was back in November, and Minnesota came out on top after holding off a late rally to win 112-109 in Minnesota.

Each team comes into the night as one of the top six seeds, so they are both fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

In their Tuesday matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Philadelphia 76ers will try to improve to 4-1 on their current five-game road trip.

On Monday, the Sixers defeated the Indiana Pacers 147-143 at home, giving them their third consecutive victory and ending the Pacers’ 16-game winning streak.

In the game against the Pacers, Joel Embiid scored 42 points, while James Harden contributed 14 points, 20 assists, and nine boards. Harden established a new franchise record by registering two games in which he dished out 20 or more assists, joining the ranks of Wilt Chamberlain and Magic Johnson.

The 19 free throws that Embiid made without missing were a franchise record.

Embiid scored 40 points for the eleventh time this season. The center for the Sixers contributed on defense with a couple of steals and a block. The only downer is that this is the third game in a row in which Embiid did not record at least 10 rebounds.

Without P.J. Tucker and Tobias Harris, the Sixers were led by 24 points from Tyrese Maxey and 20 from Jalen McDaniels in his Sixers debut.

After suffering injuries in Milwaukee, both Tucker and Harris are expected to play against the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are looking to win their fourth straight game when they take on the Sixers.

On the road, Minnesota dominated the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Sacramento Kings. The Timberwolves prevailed over the Kings on Saturday by a score of 138-134.

Anthony Edwards had a team-high 27 points and eight assists, while Mike Conley scored 24 points. Edwards’ two late baskets were the difference in the game against Sacramento.

  • Rudy Gobert – Active

In 31 minutes of action, Rudy Gobert contributed 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, and two blocks.

Recently, T-woles’s star has been on a tear, recording double-digit point and rebound totals in five of six contests. The veteran has improved his shot blocking as well, with 12 blocks in his last six games.

Although he has had some health issues this year, Gobert is still a top defender and rebounder in the NBA.

The usually disjointed Timberwolves have shown signs of cohesion in their last three contests. They are successful despite missing star player Karl-Anthony Towns, who is still sidelined by a calf injury.
