Will Brandin Cooks competing on Sunday? Injury Update for Texans – Giants

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks’ Week 10 status, as he did not play in last week’s game due to frustration over not being traded.

Brandin Cooks “questionable” for Texans – Giants Game

After missing practice time ahead of Sunday’s game against the Giants due to personal reasons and a wrist injury, the veteran wide receiver is once again listed as “questionable.”

Even if he plays, fantasy football owners will have to make difficult start/sit decisions with Cooks, who is shaping up to be one of the season’s biggest WR busts.

UPDATE: ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed late Saturday night that Cooks will play against the Giants on Sunday.

Cooks (personal) is listed as “questionable” on Houston’s final injury report ahead of the Giants game on Sunday.

Cooks could be out for another week at this point, as he has continued to express his displeasure with his current situation, but he did practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday.

The last time we saw him play was against the Titans in Week 8, when he had four receptions (six targets) for 73 yards.

Cooks remains a WR3 in most formats, despite facing a tough matchup against a Giants defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to WRs this season.

Given the matchup, his disappointing season, and the uncertainty surrounding his availability, it’s not surprising that his owners have mostly written him off, at least for this week.

If Cooks is ruled out, the Texans’ wide receiver corps will be led by Chris Moore, Nico Collins (groin), and Phillip Dorsett.

It’s not a great group of receivers, with all of them having similar outlooks. Given the matchup and unpredictability of targets, none are worth starting as flexes in even deep leagues.
