Two DWTS Pros Think the Girls Are Fat

Two of the male professional dancers from Dancing With the Stars have nothing important to do since they’ve been booted from the show, so they decided to sit around and criticize Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer for gaining a few pounds. Here’s what the esteemed Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Louis Van Mstel had to say in the matter, which was really none of their business to begin with:

“[People] look at this show to be inspired and think, ‘If I just work hard enough, I can look like that,” Louis Van Amstel, who in “DWTS” Season 6 was paired with Priscilla Presley, told the new issue of TV Guide. “If they watch someone who’s dancing her butt off and she’s still heavy, they can be discouraged. You have to take that responsibility.”

“When I first saw these women this season, I said, ‘Guys, you know the camera adds 10 pounds,'” Maks recounted. “‘You have to do something about this.'”

Cheryl attributed her weight gain to having fun over the summer, and Lacey said she isn’t yet “back to” her “old self” following a December 2007 knee surgery.

Louis, however, said the weight gain happened because there was no “DWTS” jaunt over the summer.

“If you want to gain weight, it’s your prerogative,” Louis said. “We all put on weight because there was no summer tour. But you have to deal with the consequences.”

Right, so seeing women who don’t have bones protruding on television is a negative thing but calling girls who are significantly smaller than the average female population “heavy” isn’t discouraging at all.  Got it.  Ten bucks says Maks’ huge head weighs more than both of them.
