The Las Vegas Raiders’ star tight end is Darren Waller. Waller has been out with a hamstring injury since Week 5, and fantasy owners are unsure what to make of his uncertain status. Many believe he will play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.

Despite Waller’s limited participation in practice throughout the week leading up to last Sunday’s game, the Raiders chose to be cautious.

They ruled Waller out for the third time in a row. Las Vegas was concerned that playing him would aggravate his injury and keep him out for an extended period of time.

Last week, Foster Moreau was the Raiders’ primary tight end, but if Waller stays injury-free, he should be able to play in Week 10. There is still some time until Sunday’s game against the Colts, so this is far from a sure thing.

Despite putting in minimal practice time for the past two weeks, Darren Waller was unable to play last week. This should be viewed positively because when he returns, he will most likely be 100% ready and thus will not have a reduced snap count.

This week’s matchup against the Colts’ defensive line appears to be favorable. This season, Indianapolis has allowed the 12th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends, but they are led by new interim head coach Jeff Saturday.

Due to his injury, starting Darren Waller if he is available this week is a risk. Because of the scarcity of productive receiving tight ends, Waller is worth considering right away. He’ll be dangerous, but most tight ends are.
