Famed fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has passed away aged 82, and many stars who’ve worn his beautiful dresses over the years have taken to their social media accounts to pay tribute. Taylor Swift was one of the first stars to say a heartfelt goodbye to the designer, naming him as her “all-time favorite”:

”My all-time favorite designer has passed away. Oscar, it was an honor to wear your creations and to know you. In loving memory.”

Taylor previously said that she has always looked up to the designer and has been amazed to simply have the chance to wear his designs:

”Oscar de la Renta is the designer I’ve idolised since I was a little girl. Having an opportunity to wear a one-of-kind gown designed by him is a daydream realised.”

American model Karlie Kloss also commented on the designer’s death, calling him “extraordinary” and gushing that he helped inspire her to become a better person:

”The world lost one of the most extraordinary people that I have ever met. Thank you for helping me become the woman I am today and for always inspiring me to be better. There simply is no one else like you.”

Diane von Furstenberg simply called him a “wonderful designer” in her tribute and said he won’t quickly be forgotten in the world of fashion because of the big impact he made during his life:

“Oscar de la Renta was a wonderful designer, a true Renaissance man. His voice will continue to sing in our hearts.”
