You can split up Junction Box puzzles into two distinct categories. Both are puzzles, but the first involves working with wires and the second involves using switches.

Power Switch puzzle

This puzzle can be challenging because you must direct power to the Battery Cell through relating the wires and rotating the dial to make the connection. The battery itself has two blue lines that indicate the number of power cells. Your goal should be to connect the power in such a way that the charge remains between the blue lines on the Battery Cells. To do so, rotate the switches and dials until the connection provides the most power. Higher difficulties will have more wire traces, switches, and holders.

Wire Circuit puzzle

Make a path from the glowing red switch to the dial near the other glowing red switch. Once that is done, turn the panels and dials near the red power-off switch to try to make a path. Most of these paths will cross at some point, and all you have to do to make the connection is turn the panels and dials in the right direction. After you connect the pieces of the Junction Box puzzle, a new area will be open, and you can go there right away.
