Screen Actors Guild Awards: The Winners

The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night and the stars turned out in their masses.  Inglourious Basterds did well –  taking the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Christoph Waltz also claimed the award of Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Mo’Nique was awarded for her work in Precious, receiving the best supporting female actor award. Jeff Bridges accepted his award for Best Actor for his work in Crazy Heart and Sandra Bullock picked up the award for Best Female Actor in The Blind Side.

The cast of Glee received the award for best TV comedy Series, while Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won for their acting roles in 30 Rock. Kevin Bacon and Drew Barrymore both won awards for Best Actor/Actress in a Movie/Mini-series. Kevin won for his part in the drama Taking Chance, while Drew was awarded for her role in Grey Gardens.

George Clooney went home empty handed from the night – but President of the Awards praised Clooney for helping to arrange the MTV telethon Hope for Haiti Now.
