The Screen Actors Guild Awards take place tonight and with loads of juicy nominations, this will be yet another star studded affair. George Clooney is nominated for his role in Up in the Air, alongside hot competition Colin Firth for his role in Tom Ford’s A Single Man and Morgan Freeman, who played Nelson Mandela in Invictus.

Meryl Streep is nominated under the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role category for her part in Julie & Julia. Other nominations in the same category include: Sandra Bullock for her part in The Blind Side and Gabourey Sidibe in Precious.

There’s stiff competition for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category too – Diane Kruger received a nomination for her work in Inglorious Basterds, while two stars of Up in the Air were nominated under this category – Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick.

Matt Damon faces tough competition in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his part in Invictus. He’s up against Christoph Waltz’s Inglorious Basterds role and Stanley Tucci in The Love Bones.

Nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture include: An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Precious and Nine.
