Phillies-Braves updates: Perfect weather in Philadelphia for Game 3

After shaking off the storminess on Thursday, the weather at Citizens Bank Park should be near-perfect on Friday, when the Phillies host their first playoff game in 11 years.

If you’re going to the game, bring a sweater or light jacket and leave the rain gear at home.

According to Matthew Brudy, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly, the sky should be a classic October deep blue with little cloud traffic.

Friday appears to be a good day to be a fan or a pitcher, but not necessarily a right fielder, at least in the early going. When the game begins at 4:37 p.m., the sun’s last rays will shine directly into right field.

The temperature during the game is expected to be in the low 60s, dropping to the upper 50s after sunset. The wind will be almost non-existent, blowing from the left-field line to the right at less than 5 mph.

Bring no umbrellas or ponchos: the National Weather Service says there is no chance of rain during the game.
