SUMMARY

  • Brock Purdy
  • Jared Goff
  • Miles Sanders
  • D’Andre Swift

1. Brock Purdy, 49ers at Raiders

Since taking over for the injured Jimmy G, Brock’s star has been accurate and efficient, completing nearly 70% of his attempts and throwing two touchdowns in all four games.

Purdy has scored at least 16.5 DK points in each of his three starts, and his average QB rating in those three games has been 121.9.

He’s clearly at ease in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, answering the bell regardless of the opponent.

Purdy averaged 10.6 yards per completion last week against a solid Commanders defense.

Purdy is a great value at these prices against a Raiders team that allows the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

2. Jared Goff, Lions vs. Bears

Goff has been a regular contributor to this column, and he has never disappointed us.

The veteran has clicked with offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who was promoted this year and may receive some head coaching offers as a result of Detroit’s outstanding offensive season.

Several skill-position players have had breakout seasons, but Goff is responsible for everyone’s success.

He has scored 29 or more DK points in two of the last three weeks, and now he faces a Bears defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

3. Miles Sanders, Eagles vs. Saints

We understand if you’re hesitant to start Sanders after consecutive down weeks in Chicago and Dallas, but he’s still getting plenty of touches, and we see him bouncing back significantly if Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) returns.

Remember that between Weeks 12 and 14, Sanders had five touchdowns and 353 scrimmage yards, and he’s averaged 104.5 rushing yards and a touchdown in his two career games against the Saints, who have allowed the ninth-most ground yards to RBs this season. Begin Sanders with assurance.

4. D’Andre Swift, Lions vs. Bears

Swift was easily one of the best running backs in the NFL early this season, leading the league in yards per carry until a series of injuries forced him to miss a few games.

He’s been back for a few weeks (with mixed results), and now running mate Jamaal Williams — the gobbler of an NFL-leading 14 rushing touchdowns — is dealing with a leg injury of his own.

Justin Jackson may annoy Swift by cutting into his workload, but the majority of the carries, targets, and goal-line work should fall into Swift’s lap for poetic justice for his followers.

New England Patriots vs. Dolphins

You wouldn’t bet against the Patriots against a high-flying Dolphins offense, but these Dolphins are battered from head to toe and entering enemy territory that has historically been unkind to Miami.

Tua Tagovailoa has been placed in concussion protocol for the second time this season, indicating that he will most likely be sidelined.

Both running backs Raheem Mostert (knee) and Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) have been injured, and we’re just two weeks removed from a Tyreek Hill ankle scare.

We predict an ugly Sunday for the warm-weather ‘Phins with Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, especially if it’s extremely cold at Foxboro this weekend.
