Following the recent 3.2 Special Program, the Genshin Impact community has been inundated with leaks, the latest of which is a roadmap for the patch 4.0 update discovered in the main game files.

Genshin Impact Leak Reveals 4.0 Fontaine Update Roadmap

According to the most recent Genshin Impact leaks, a ton of new content will be added in the game’s upcoming updates. These updates will bring the Sumeru storyline to a close, after which players will embark on their journey to the region Fontaine in version 4.0. Fans are unlikely to enter Fontaine until late 2023, but this roadmap reveals many of the characters who will appear in the game’s upcoming updates.

Upcoming character names and weapon types

This information is taken directly from the game’s files, and it reveals the names and weapon types of many of the characters set to arrive between the 3.2 and 3.6 updates. Version 3.7 and later are less certain, but leakers continue to uncover more information with each passing day. So far, here’s the plan:

  • 3.3 – Wanderer (Scaramouche) and Faruzan
  • 3.4 – Alhaitham and Yaoyao
  • 3.5 – Dehya and Mika
  • 3.6 – Baizhu and a new character

Genshin Impact 4.0 Roadmap

Fans who want to summon characters like Scaramouche and Faruzan won’t have to wait much longer, as they are set to arrive in the update following 3.2, but those who want to summon characters like Baizhu will have to wait a long time.

It’s important to note that these leaks are also subject to change, especially since they’re predicting information in updates that won’t be released for months. If players want to summon any of these leaked characters, they should temper their expectations and save their Primogems.

Upcoming Sumeru map area and more

The tweet above depicts an updated map of Sumeru’s desert area on Genshin Impact. This region will be expanded further in future patches. There are two parts to the expansion. The first desert expansion will be available in patch 3.4, and the second will be available in patch 3.6, along with a new weekly boss.

The Sumeru storyline appears to be continuing until the 3.6 update, at which point the focus may shift to the Fontaine region. Aside from that, leaks indicate that the Fontain update will include underwater and boating mechanics to explore, underwater treasures to collect, and a slew of other new mechanics for fans to enjoy.
