Lindsay Lohan Is Hopeless

42742, BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA - Tuesday July 20 2010. Lindsay Lohan arrives at the Beverly Hills Municipal Courthouse to report to Judge Marsha Revel and be delivered to serve her 90-day jail sentence. The actress was earlier this month ordered to serve 90 days in jail for missing alcohol counseling sessions which formed part of her probation terms stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. She will serve the sentence at the Lynwood Correctional Facility. Photograph: Pedro Andrade,

Lindsay Lohan went to court for final sentencing this morning, which is a relief for me because her legal situation was getting annoying to report on. Just as a refresher: Lilo tried to get rid of Shawn Chapman Holley because she thought it was poor representation rather than crackheadedness that led to her arrest, probation, and jail sentence; Lindz then tried to hire Billy Flynn because she was worried that Mama Morton might pounce when she dropped the soap; and then she checked into a sober house run by Robert Shapiro who would testify on her behalf that she belong in rehab, rather than lock-up.

However, Chapman Holley never officially took herself off the case, and Shapiro only agreed to take the case on the condition that Lindsay spend at least some time in jail as a way to impress upon her the consequences of her addiction. Once she started doing everything possible to get out of her sentence, Shapiro refused to have anything to do with her legal situation, and now claims he was only a “consultant,” which means court is probably awwwkward for Lindsay and Chapman Holley right now.

(Here’s a little background on Shapiro, by the way: he successfully defended OJ Simpson. Yeah. Lindsay Lohan is too much drama for the guy who managed to convince a jury that OJ Simpson didn’t kill two people despite OJ spiking his wife’s head in a touchdown victory dance and dumping a Gatorade bottle of her blood over the bailiff.)
