Actress Lake Bell is currently pregnant with her first child and has spoken on how she has been adapting her style to suit her growing baby bump. Lake comments that it has been getting harder to style herself now that she’s reaching the end of her pregnancy and she does often find it hard to feel fashionable. She tries to search for elegant shapes that still give her support and make her feel good. She explained that it can be a struggle:
”It’s less enjoyable right now, I’m seven months pregnant and my style sense is a little off! At the moment, I’m just aiming to keep my sanity and continue to feel as chic as one can. I have to straddle a line of being tasteful and looking good; I need a shape that looks elegant and is supportive without being too hot: it’s a daily negotiation!”
Lake hasn’t slowed her career down that much yet and admits that trying to pick an outfit for traveling is another big challenge she has faced because she wants to look stylish while on the move and pregnant, so there are many elements to balance. She thinks her outfit choices have become “innovative” because she’s found new ways to style herself in the last few months that she wouldn’t have thought of before:
”There has been quite a bit of travel and I feel I always need to look nice for a flight – that was instilled in me early, much as I want to just be comfortable – so my outfit choices have really had to get innovative.”
