Kate Middleton: Nude Photo Paparazzi Identified!

Recently European tabloids erupted and the internet has a viral moment when numerous scandalous pictures of Kate Middleton were published. The paparazzo involved in the nude photo scandal has now been identified as part of the ongoing criminal investigation of the case filed by the Royal family.

The law enforcement officers claim to have finally identified the celebrity photographer who snapped around 200 “intimate photos” of the Duchess in various stages of undress.

The nude photos were taken while the royal couple were on a private vacation at Chateau d’Autet, France in September.

The recent developments revealed the photographer responsible for the invasive snaps is set to be arrested by French officials. A source apparently close to the case said during an interview, “A name has been offered. The photographer is expected to be held for questioning imminently.”

The British Royal family stated that this was a “grotesque” invasion of privacy, and sources reported that Prince William wanted the person responsible to be jailed.

A royal source commented: “William and Kate are determined to bring the person who took those photos to justice and they’re pushing hard for a custodial sentence. They want to make an example of this person.”

The whole scandal came under the spotlight when French magazine, Closer published topless photos of Kate while vacationing with Princess William. Later the photos made international headlines. Immediately, Prince William called for the photographer to be jailed. Following it, the French court started a criminal investigation and the French magazine was forbidden from further publication of the photos. The country comparatively has strict privacy laws.

During the investigation Closer confirmed hiring a freelance photographer who snapped the nude photos, to follow the royal couple. But according to French law, photographers are protected just as journalistic sources, so Closer need not release the identity of the photographer.

If the paparazzo who took the photos is convicted of the crime, he or she may face jail time up to one year and a hefty fine of over $57,000. As of now, no name has been released to the public.
