Jude Law Speaks on Telling His Son Not to Get a Tattoo

Actor Jude Law has opened up on telling her 16-year-old son not to get a tattoo. The actor admits that it was slightly difficult for him to tell his son not to get one because he has tattoos of his own, but he explained that his son was too young to know how long forever is and that there is simply no way to tell if you’ll want it in the future:

“Well, you’ve got them, yes, but you’ve got to know that what you get is going to be forever and I don’t think at 16 you know what forever is.”

Commenting on working on films purely for the money, Jude admits that it’s often hard to remember that film is supposed to be an art as it can often be such a money-driven industry, but as someone who has stuck around in Hollywood, he feels more confident to take parts which are more about the art:

“Without sounding too pretentious, it’s difficult to remember that it’s an art form and you are, maybe, an artist and you have to make decisions on that level. I feel kind of more confident, more settled as a human being, more settled in my own skin.”

On the hacking scandal which exposed him and his life:

“They had kind of stripped me and my relationships bare — there was nothing left to write, and there is only so much laundry one has, in the end, to be washed in public.”
