Jimmy Dean Dead At 81

Posted by Moxie on June 14th, 2010

Legendary country singer/sausage hawker Jimmy Dean has died at the age of 81. Dean died at his home in Virginia, where he and his wife had recently moved back in after extensive renovations following a fire. Dean was famous for his song “Big Bad John,” as well as his folksy persona and Southern charm.  Although he died before being formally inducted, Dean won a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame earlier this year. He is survived by his second wife Donna and a nephew, country singer Billy Dean.
