Jerry Hall, mother of model Georgia May Jagger, has been opening up about her wild years again (she’s already admitted to having her first orgasm while horse riding) and this time, she’s explained why she decided to give modeling a go when she was a teen: because she had a LSD trip which inspired her to. Jerry told Harper’s Bazaar:

“A boy gave me a quarter of a tab. I didn’t know what it was! I actually had never taken drugs and was very nervous. And I never did take drugs [afterwards] ever, ever. But I locked myself in the bathroom and spent the whole night staring in the mirror, going, ‘Oh, my God.’ All of a sudden, I thought, ‘Wow!'”

Jerry then made the move from her home in Texas to Paris in France to pursue a modeling career with her sister (she ended up moving in with Grace Jones!):

“I sort of had a turning thing. One of those moments where you decide you’re going to do something really wild. And I did it.”

Jerry has always been quite anti-drugs, even refusing to date Mick Jagger until he quit heroin. She says that drugs have always frightens her, and she didn’t see why they were necessary to have fun:

“I was always scared of drugs. Not only was it illegal, it was also really dangerous – you could die. Also they are really bad for your looks. I never saw the point of drugs when a couple of glasses of red wine with friends is as much fun.”
