January Jones Intimidated by ‘X-Men’ Costumes

January Jones, who has been cast to play Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men: First Class movie admits she was slightly worried about the role. She first grew worried about the movie when she learnt that it’s set in the 60’s – the same era as Mad Men the hit series that she also stars in. January revealed:

“When I heard that this installment of X-Men was going to take place in the ’60s I was like, ‘Oh my God, you must be kidding me! but I read the script and familiarised myself with the character of Emma Frost. She’s so, so far from Betty and from Mad Men, and it takes place in that time but it doesn’t feel like a period movie.”

January says she then felt intimidated by her character’s costumes, as she is often clad in skimpy, body-revealing outfits in the comic:

“It’s a lot of very body-conscious stuff, if you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed. She’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.”

X-Men: First Class is set to be released this summer.
