Injury Updates Clippers – Suns: Is Kawhi Leonard, Devin Booker READY tonight?

In a big game on Thursday night, the red-hot Phoenix Suns host the LA Clippers, who are in the same division as them. This is the last game before the all-star break. This game starts at 10 p.m. EST at the Footprint Center.

Clippers vs. Suns injuries: 4 players out for this game

The Suns are 32-27 while the Clippers are right behind them at 32-28. The Suns won both previous meetings this season, in December and October, covering both times at LA.

The big question for the Clippers over the past few seasons has been whether or not Kawhi Leonard and Paul George can play together.

So far, this hasn’t happened very often because both of those things have been sitting on the shelf. But let’s be honest: Leonard has been out a lot more than George has.

Even if those two are healthy, I don’t know if the Clippers still have a chance, but they are still a formidable duo.

The Clippers are 32-28 heading into this game. They are in fifth place in the Western Conference, nine games behind the Nuggets, who are in first place.

Leonard got off to a slow start this season because he had missed so much time due to injuries, but now he is starting to look like the Kawhi Leonard he was before he got hurt, who was the best all-around player in the league.

Clippers star finished Tuesday’s 134-124 win over the Warriors with 33 points (12-18 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal in 34 minutes of play.

Leonard had two boring games before he was taken out of the Clippers’ last game on Friday to take care of an injury. When he came back, he filled up the stat sheet.

He seems to have completely gotten over the health problems that slowed him down at the beginning of the season, and his performance has gone up as a result.

In the 14 games he has played in the last month, Leonard has averaged 27.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.5 three-pointers, 1.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 36.4 minutes.

Don’t look now, but here come the Phoenix Suns, and their best player isn’t even on the court yet.

The Suns are looking more and more like the team that won the NBA title last year. They’ve won five of their last six games and eleven of their last fourteen.

They are now fourth in the Western Conference, just 8.5 games behind first-place Denver and with a record of 32-27.

And everyone can hear them walk. Devin Booker, a first-team All-NBA player for the Suns, just came back from being hurt for a long time.

And after the All-Star break, superstar Kevin Durant will play his first game for the Suns. The Suns traded for him from the Nets in a huge deal. Everyone else in the league should be afraid.

  • Devin Booker – Active

Devin Booker scored 32 points (13-20 FG, 6-7 FT) and added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 29 minutes of Tuesday’s 120-109 victory over the Kings.

Booker has played less than 30 minutes in each of his first three games since returning from a six-week absence due to a left groin strain, but that didn’t prevent him from putting up a productive scoring performance on Tuesday, albeit one that was light on three-pointers.

It’s possible that Booker will be limited to a few minutes Thursday against the Clippers. However, after the All-Star break, he should be able to play at will.
