Megan Barton Hanson, a former contestant on Love Island, has said that watching sexual acts on television should be seen as a “healthy thing” and that she hopes the show will help remove the associated shame.

Megan Barton Hanson has said that she wants to see more sexual activity on the upcoming season of Love Island

Megan’s interview with the star comes after she posed in a pink two-piece and black thigh-high boots for her most recent lingerie shoot.

On Monday night, the new Cape Town villa opened its doors to 11 eligible bachelors and bachelorettes for the premiere of the dating show’s 11th season.

Megan competed in the show in 2018, and she and her then-boyfriend, Wes Nelson, made it all the way to the final. However, the couple later broke up the following year, in 2019.

After getting steamy on the show with Wes and his ex-partner Eyal Booker, the blonde beauty has spoken out about being “slut-shamed” for her appearance on the show.

Megan expressed her desire for a shift in the show’s audience’s perspective on sexuality by telling Closer: “Sex is a healthy thing and if both people are consenting, there should be no shame! I hope in this season there’s more sex, more talk about it and less shame!”

The moment the show ended, I was bombarded with questions of the form: “Are you embarassed about having sex on TV?”

“Why should I be embarassed? The boys never got asked that question. I know that for a fact because I was always next to Wes. He wasn’t asked that once,” she answer.

Contestants on Love Island often use code words to describe their sexual encounters, despite the fact that the villa is fully stocked with branded condoms and a luxurious hideaway room for couples to enjoy alone time.

Megan has had high-profile relationships with Chelcee Grimes, TOWIE’s Demi Sims, and James Lock since she first appeared on the show.

Since her appearance on the show, she has been extremely busy making millions of dollars on the adult-only website OnlyFans.

Megan, who identifies as bisexual, hasn’t ruled out a return to the show, either, following Adam Collard’s return for a second time last year.

She went on to say: “I think i’m too old for love island now, maybe if they did a LGBTQ+ one. I’d definately go for that, Or maybe a middle aged one – If I’m still single at 40, I’ll have another crack at it!”
