Helena Bonham Carter revealed at an Oscars After-Party that she had prepared her speech in case she won Best Supporting Actress, and had it all written out on a handkerchief. Helena, who starred in The King’s Speech which took home 4 Oscars in total last night, unveiled the handkerchief at the party, saying “It will never be seen.”

Helena has two children (one daughter and one son) with long-time partner Tim Burton, and says that she wanted to look happy for Melissa Leo who won the award, because she wants to set a good example for her children. She wants to show them that winning isn’t everything:

“Well I’m an actress, you’ve got to look pleased that someone else has won. I’ve got to be a good example for my children. It’s not the winning that counts, is it?”
