Now that he’s no longer got Rachel Bilson’s adorable button-nose to distract him, Hayden Christiansen has filed a lawsuit against USA Network alleging that they stole an idea for a TV show that he and his brother pitched in 2005.

The show in question is Royal Pains, which is about a “concierge doctor” who attends to the varied (and one would imagine scandalous/borderline illegal) medical needs of rich, spoiled residents of the Hamptons. Christiansen and his brother say that they approached USA with this idea under the title “Housecall,” but it was turned down, only to appear on USA’s schedule in 2009. Especially damning (but hard to prove) is the allegation that a network executive said he was fascinated by the idea of a concierge doctor as he had never heard of the concept before the pitch.

I couldn’t care less about this story, really; I’m mostly wondering why I never noticed that Hayden has the same coloring as Edward Cullen. Maybe Rachel got tired of him stealing all her shimmer lotion…
