Dancing On Ice's Carley Stenson, believes her "attitude has altered" since becoming a mother: "I'm not sure I want to take my clothes off! "

Carley Stenson has said that she misses the “freedom” she felt during her more lavish calendar pictures from the past, but that she isn’t sure if she would do one again.

Carley Stenson, of Dancing on Ice has said that she feels her “attitude has evolved” since becoming a mother

The Dancing on Ice star, now 40 years old, used to pose in nothing but her underwear for the racy Hollyoaks calendar and other glamour pictures during her stint on the program.

The former soap star has a 20-month-old daughter named Skye, and she admits that motherhood has altered her “attitude” toward acting.

Carley, who portrayed Steph Cunningham from 2000 to 2011, told The Sun,  ‘Now I’m a mum, I don’t know about getting any kit off.”

‘I just think your attitude changes when you are older — and certainly when you’re a mum. I’m all about body confidence though, and women feeling great.’

Yet looking back, she says, “It felt freeing as a woman of 20 or so to feel secure. I can look back on those images and remember how much fun they were.

‘It was always something I did back then knowing that, hopefully one day, I’d be an old granny and would say, ‘Oh, look at me back then’.

Carley, who skates with partner Mark Hanretty, has said that she can’t wait to get back into her old clothes now that she’s in better shape owing to the grueling Dancing on Ice workouts.

Her spouse, ex-co-star Danny Mac, 25, has seen the difference in her since she began training.

With 36 points out of 40 last week, Carley and Mark tied for first place with The Vivienne.

The soap star and her dance partner dressed up as Woody and Jesse from Toy Story for their performance.

‘That was so, so clean, It was like, flawless. It was subtle and detailed, I think you guys are incredible.”

Carley and her husband Danny had a daughter together, and Carley feared that appearing on the skating show would force them to spend even more time apart from their daughter.

Despite the difficulties, Carley said she was able to “figure it out” with the help of Danny and her loved ones.

As Carley explained, ‘I feel awful when I’m not with her. Mum guilt is real – it’s part of my DNA now.

‘I remember my first day back to work, when Skye had a rash. I got off the Tube and I could have gone left to work or right to go home, and I had to ring my mum and say: ‘Please tell me what to do.’ It was horrible.

‘But I knew Skye was with my mother-in-law, who is a nurse, so she could not have been in better hands.’
