Courteney Cox Wants to “Prolong the Inevitable” When it Comes to Ageing

Former ‘Friends’ actress Courteney Cox isn’t afraid to be candid when it comes to ageing. She is happy to try and prolong the inevitable if she can, and although she doesn’t say if she’s been under the knife, she does admit that she has had several laser surgeries which she feels have been helpful to her appearance. Courteney explains that she is open to anything that might slow down the process:

“You know what, I’m game for anything. I’m very open to trying to prolong the inevitable, I’m a big laser believer — I really think they are the wave of the future. I just did Ulthera, which is supposed to produce collagen, and I’m about to do Fraxel, which will get rid of all these brown spots off my arms, chest and face.”

Opening up on what she thinks it will be like to turn 50, Courteney says it seems like a big change because it means the end of possibly being able to have children and marks a new part of her life:

“That’s gonna be brutal, I’m not that interested in that! That sounds different. It feels different. I think it’s hard, the fact that there’s a certain age that we can’t have kids anymore. My doctor told me today that he just delivered a baby and the woman was 48. It’s like, that’s awesome, but it’s rare. It’s a miracle, you know?”

She says that time can catch up with you and it hits you that it’s flying by, which is one of her biggest fears:

“My biggest fear is that it catches up to you so quickly, it’s almost like you wake up and you’ve changed. You can be rocking along in your life and then it just happens.”
